St. John’s sitting players or game is meaningless?

I would hold St. John realizes this could impact their NCAA Tourny seeding. I hope they aren't mailing it in.
Yeah, they are sitting at #2-3 seeding but it’s not set in stone. Why would they not try to win this game? If they lose this game and play horrible in Big East tournament, it might drop them a seed or two. Very important game for them.

99% of college players will never play ball again so explain to me why any of them would want to sit? This isn't the NBA where guys get days off because they stayed up too late playing PS5 and the regular season means next to nothing. With little to no risk of injury in most games this isn't week 18 of the NFL season. They play their guys and try to win, if you want a winning culture you have to be consistent.

I don't think the decision is up to the players on if they play but I think St. Johns will play to win.

Now, a game to be aware of is Houston vs Baylor. I think Sampson may rest some guys a little. They are playing for absolutely nothing. They will be a #1 seed in the dance and want to win the Big12 tourny. The line should be way more than -4 for them at Baylor, a team that is not that good.
