My selection is on the 'under' between Dallas and Utah at 10 pm et on Thursday.

The 'under' has cashed in the last two games in this series and I expect a similar outcome in Thursday's Game 6 in Utah. The Jazz have had a tough enough time just getting shots off, let alone knocking them down, attempting just 69, 79 and 77 field goals over the last three games. In Game 5 they managed to make good on just 29 of those attempts, scoring only 77 points in the process. While we can certainly anticipate some improvement here, how much remains to be seen.

The Mavs are quite simply locked-in defensively right now, having held eight straight opponents to fewer than 90 field goal attempts and seven of those opponents to fewer than 40 made field goals. On the flip side, the Mavs are still plodding along offensively, knocking down fewer than 40 field goals in four of their last five games. You would have to go back 11 games to find the last time they got off more than 85 FG attempts in a game. Take the under.

I'll take my chances with the UNDER 8 in Thursday's AL East showdown between the Red Sox and Blue Jays. I just don't see a lot of offense with the two starters on the mound in this one. Boston will turn to Garrett Whitlock, while the Blue Jays call on Alek Manoah.

Whitlock started the season in the bullpen, but was given a start last Saturday at Tampa Bay. He didn't disappoint, throwing 4 shutout innings with 7 of the 12 outs he recorded coming via the strikeout. Whitlock now has a 0.66 ERA and 0.51 WHIP in 13 2/3 innings.

Manoah has not disappointed early after his breakout season in 2021. He's 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in 3 starts. Two of those coming on the road vs the Astros and Yankees. Manoah made 2 starts vs Boston last year and gave up just 3 runs in 11 innings of work. Play the UNDER 8!
