Jack's Pick for Sunday:
Milwaukee Brewers +154

The Milwaukee Brewers are 5-1 in their last six games overall and have scored at least 4 runs in all five victories. They are starting to swing the bats up to their potential, and they have one of the best pitching staffs in all of baseball.

Eric Lauer is one of the underrated starters in baseball. He is 1-0 with a 3.48 ERA and 1.065 WHIP in two starts this season after going 7-5 with a 3.19 ERA and 1.138 WHIP across 118 2/3 innings last season.

Lauer is also 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA and 0.947 WHIP in three career starts against Philadelphia, allowing just 3 earned runs in 19 innings. He’ll be opposed by the overrated Aaron Nola, who is 1-2 with a 5.53 ERA in three starts this season while allowing 9 earned runs and 4 homers in 14 2/3 innings.

The Phillies are 3-11 (-9.9 Units) in Nola’s last 14 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Philadelphia is 21-26 (-14.4 Units) in Nola’s last 47 starts overall. The Brewers are 52-19 in their last 71 games vs. a team with a losing record. The Phillies are 3-8 in their last 11 games overall. Bet the Brewers Sunday.

Play on:
Under 221

My selection is on the 'under' between Miami and Atlanta at 7 pm et on Sunday.

We won with the 'under' in Game 3 of this series on Friday and I expect a similar outcome on Sunday. The Hawks shot 41-of-80 from the field in that narrow one-point victory, a performance I'm not sure we'll see them duplicate here. Note that Atlanta has topped out at 41 made field goals over its last four games, getting off 80, 75, 87 and 80 field goal attempts over that stretch.

The Heat played at an abnormally fast pace in Game 3, getting off 93 field goal attempts. Note that prior to that contest they had attempted 84 or fewer field goals in seven of their last eight contests. The Heat check in allowing just 38-of-85 shooting on average away from home this season. While the Hawks are thought of as a fast pace team, they actually average only 87 FG attempts per game on their home floor this season. Take the under.
