WAYNE ROOT

CBB ULTIMATE POINT SPREAD SMASHEROO IV

WAYNE, off a 1-2 day which saw a Pinnacle WINNER, has an ULTIMATE SMASHEROO IV BLOWOUT. Attn Commish: APPLY THE MERCY RULE TO THIS GAME!!

Root Reserve——-St John’s

The Hoyas are coming off their biggest win of the season, a conference victory after 29 consecutive losses. Meanwhile the Red Storm are coming off a blow out loss in conference play. We have a matchup between two teams, one riding high after an emotional win and the other embarrassed after a near 30 point loss. I expect the Red Storm to come out ready to play in this one and will attack insider as they will have a strong upper hand against the Hoya defense. St. John's should also come up with some extra turnovers in this one and they rank top 10 in potential quick points off of steals. Georgetown's defense has struggled and St. John's will look to exploit it. Take the Red Storm at home.

CBB BEST OF THE BEST ADVANTAGE PLAY DOG

WAYNE, off a 1-2 day which saw a Pinnacle WINNER, has a featured "Gold Standard" game winner. And yes; it’s going to UPSET the favorite. Did you see the upsets yesterday? This is one for Sunday. BEST OF THE BEST Underdog’s.

12:00 pm est

Gold Standard——-Michigan St

Coach Izzo gets teams focused and ready for March Madness and playing top ranked teams. It keeps him in the spotlight. Purdue is number 1 in the nation, but they have not been blowing teams out, except for Minnesota. Purdue only beat Michigan by 5, Maryland by 3, Ohio State by 2, and only beat this Spartan team by 1 last game. Tom Izzo is one of the best coaches in college basketball, and will have the gameplan ready to face this Boilermaker team. Michigan State is a strong team, they are 9-3 in their last 12 games, and will be coming in with confidence after how close they played Purdue last outing. The Spartan guards, Walker and Hoggard, are quicker than their Purdue counterparts and should be able to find advantages on offense with their athleticism. This is too many points to spot Izzo against a team that has not been winning by big margins on a regular basis.

Rotation #322
Eagles -2.5 over 49ers
Home-field advantage is massive in conference championship games, so Philadelphia has the edge right off the bat. Both teams have been excellent this year, but the Eagles have fewer flaws. Philly runs the ball well with Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Kenneth Gainwell. You also have to account for the ability of quarterback Jalen Hurts to run the ball. The 49ers could have looked better against running QBs this year. Hurts has been incredible this season at QB, and the Eagles look like a well-oiled machine. The 49ers have a few injured running backs today, and Brock Purdy has only played in 6 NFL Games at QB. How often do you see a rookie who played a fraction of the games get to a super bowl? Look for the Eagles to dominate at home with the defense locking Purdy down and Hurts doing whatever it takes to put up points. Take the Eagles.

Rotation #324
Chiefs -1.5 over Bengals
Chiefs/Bengals Over 48.5
It will be cold tonight in Kansas City, but it will be dry. Joe Burrow has unlimited targets. Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd can all get open against a youthful Chiefs secondary. Cincinnati will generate a few scoring drives tonight. Patrick Mahomes had an injury scare last week, but he practiced and should be able to throw from the pocket at the very least. TE Travis Kelce will play, and the training staff will give him what is needed to keep his back from bothering him. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is a magician in finding ways to score. Eli Apple is an outstanding cornerback for the Bengals, but KC can beat you on one half of the field. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marques Valdes-Scandling can get themselves wide open for Mahomes to find. The biggest X-Factor is the Chiefs’ front seven against the Bengals’ offensive line. The Bengals have three new starters in the last few weeks and are vulnerable. Cincinnati did a great job last week against Buffalo, but the Chiefs have the second-most sacks in the NFL. Tonight’s game should be a back-and-forth thriller, but in the end, the Chiefs will take advantage of the injuries up front. Take the Chiefs and the Over.
