Arizona hands the ball to left-hander Madison Bumgarner (0-1, 1.00 ERA) who is off to a very promising start to the year. Bumgarner has allowed only two earned runs over 18 innings of work.

Neither of these teams are hitting much right now. The Nationals haven't posted double-digit hits since back on April 15th against the Pirates. Not surprisingly, they've won only twice since then, scoring a combined seven runs in those two contests. The Giants are coming off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the A's and have produced just 16 hits over their last three games combined. Only three of their last nine games have found their way 'over' the total.
With neither starter likely to work too deep into this game, we should see plenty of the two bullpens and both have been solid lately. The Nats' relief corps has posted a collective 2.57 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over its last seven games while the Giants 'pen has recorded a sparkling 1.02 ERA and 0.85 WHIP over the same stretch. Take the under.
