The Bucks continue to prove to backers that they’re not a team worth backing in pressure situations. The Greek Freak may be efficient around the rim, but his jump shot needs a ton of work and Milwaukee doesn’t have the personnel to stop both James Harden and Kevin Durant. Durant is the best offensive player on the planet, showcasing his talents by dropping 49 as the Nets took a 3-2 series lead. Harden now has a game of “live action” under his belt and we can expect a much better shooting performance out of him. Brooklyn smells blood in the water and catching this many points is a gift. Take the Nets.

The Brewers had won 4 in a row and 9 of 10 before being swept by the Reds. They have just the guy to get them back into the win column as Brandon Woodruff takes the mound Thursday. Woodruff has a 1.52 ERA on the season, shutting teams down on a consistent basis. To put things in perspective, Woodruff hasn’t allowed more than 2 earned runs in any start since opening day (he allowed 3). He’s allowed a total of 5 earned in his last 5 starts combined and he also pitches deep into games with regularity. The Rockies had lost 5 of 6 before finding some success against the Padres in their latest series. German Marquez is a pitcher that simply can’t be trusted. Marquez allowed 9 runs in just 5 innings last time out against the Reds. This is the perfect situation to make money betting against a bad team with an elite pitcher taking the mound. Take the Brewers.
