Perfect... tailing. +160

Also added a small Max Verstappen +550 play for fun.
Wow.... I really messed up. I was catching up on my bets this weekend and realized I didn't bet on Russel and Verstappen to win.... I somehow bet on them to have the fastest lap.

I got even luckier when Verstappen had the fastest lap in the race. So I hit the +550 on him instead of the Russell bet. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Yes you have to be careful there because sometimes in F1 you’ll see similar odds on “to win” “fastest lap” “to win the pole” and “fastest in a particular practice session.”

Glad it worked out that you hit the fastest lap with Max.

I know Larson hasn't been "elite" but you got to love him at Vegas right?

Top guys in my mind....
Larson
Byron
Logano
Bowman

Hell, even Reddick is good at Vegas. Two top 5's last year AND HE IS SMOKING THIS YEAR SO FAR.

Vegas next week @BigJay
First impressions?
First impressions is Larson is running in the O’Reilly’s series in the #88 JR Motor Sports Car.

It wasn’t really a winning car last weekend at Phoenix even with Byron driving it. Was more a top-5 car at best. Larson will, however, obviously be a short-price fave at Vegas in the O’Reilly’s Series.

My man Allgaier, last week’s winner in Phoenix, is the defending race champ in O’Reilly’s Vegas and will be second fave again behind Larson.

Larson has the most recent success in Vegas Sunday Cup with two wins and four top fives in the past six races. Byron and Hamlin also solid. And yes Logano has won four total races in Vegas (2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024 - in either the spring or fall).

So I may have to fade my own fade Larson philosophy at Vegas.

But lightning struck last spring when Josh Berry won his first career Cup race in Vegas at long odds.

I’ll start to dig deeper later in the week.

I try to stick to a budget ($100/wk) as Nascar can get expensive quickly. Last week would have been another small budget building week, but I lost most of it back on 1 hockey bet, 2 golf bets and won 2 legs of a UFC bet only to lose it on MAX. Anyways it was ultimately a squash, as I broke even. Onwards my friends!

Headed to Vegas this weekend for Cup (4 pm ET Sunday) and O’Reilly’s Series (5:30 pm ET Saturday). Trucks off until next week.

Our first 1.5-mile track of the season. A lot of side by side action and multiple grooves on the wide track leading to different strategies and racing lines allowing drivers to search for more speed.

F1 also racing in China.

Russell will be hard to beat again. He’s already -120. If he wins the pole he’ll be -300 again or lower.

His Mercedes teammate Kimi is second fave around +500.
