I really enjoy this track.

Sometimes 6, 7 wide racing after a restart. Don’t see that on many one-mile tracks. (If ever)

You can see here where the track widens out just past the start-finish line that was tweaked a few years back when track had modernization renovations.

Everyone fans out to try to gain track position before having to fall back into more orderly racing when the track narrows again. Pretty fun to watch.

I’m probably going to throw $$ on Bell and Blaney.

One strategy I’ll probably go with week to week for a little bit until it bites me is fading Larson and Hamlin, who I’d almost always have in a parlay at minimum weekly.

Larson is always among the top 3-4 faves because people love to bet him but surprisingly he hasn’t won since last May. He’s burned a lot of folks $$ along the way. One theory is he spent so much time training and traveling f for the Indy 500 that it hurt his NASCAR performance.

Hamlin just seems like a fade with all he went through in the offseason. But obviously he can win any given week. Should have won the championship last season.

I’ll likely adjust or reassess if this strategy starts to cost me $$.

Won about $160 this week live betting and tailing a few folks in college hoops. So going to take those profits and throw:

$107 total risk:

Byron wins O’Reilly’s I get $100

Bell wins Cup I get $250

Hocevar wins Cup I get $270

Blaney wins Cup I get $250

Hoping Byron wins Saturday night so Cup Sunday is like a double freeroll (Dougy math 😄)

Current plus-minus on the races this season:

+ $1,300

And:
Open Parlay $12 to win $2k
-Austin Hill Daytona (WIN)
-Scottie Masters
-Spurs win West

Do you think he’s lived up to his name? He’s a solid racecar driver, but he didn’t even dominate.
I remember late 2000s he was supposed to be the next big thing.

He has 37 career Cup wins and is a 3-time Cup Season Champion (2018, 2022, 2024).

Sure-fire Hall of Famer.

His titles are one of the reasons nascar switched the scoring format for the championship beginning this season. Logano’s team mastered the old format and he was great at the track they had the season-ending championship race in Phoenix. So if Logano somehow got to the “Final Four” Championship Sunday, even though he didn’t have as good a regular season as several others.
