The fan in me was disappointed Zilisch had the break issue.

Had to replace his entire rear rotor.

Didn’t get to see the SVG vs Zilisch battle everyone expected the second half of the race. Would have been fun.

Just because he’s so much more talented driving NASCAR road courses than anyone else (won the last five last season) obviously SVG should be favored but the fact he’s +130 today I believe is the books trying to get some of their $$ back from last season as I imagine they got hammered on SVG’s success (I know I won a lot off of him).

The truth is he wasn’t very good in practice and he wasn’t good at all in qualifying. Neither was Zilisch (they are teammates).

It could very well be that the car isn’t very good this week. SVG said so yesterday. He will obviously make adjustments but if he wins today he will have to overcome a car disadvantage compared to other very good road course drivers who are starting ahead of him like Reddick, Bell, Byron, Elliott and others in the field.

Just something to keep an eye on. I won’t be laying +130 on SVG today.

Now watch him win by 15 seconds 😂

Threw $30 to win $180 on McLaughlin IndyCar Race for a bit of action.
Used @KVB ‘s Kalshi for the first time ever to make this bet.

Got out of it when McLaughlin was leading early because I thought Palou was on a much better tire strategy (in IndyCar they have to use two sets of softs this year and Alex started on softs).

Only made $39 on the cash out but put it all on Palou live to win $59.

I won’t count that profit in the thread because he’s leading now by a lot and I didn’t post when I made the play.

I definitely wouldn’t recommend betting live on the races with places like Kalshi though. I can see where it would be like crack cocaine 😂

Alex Palou is a machine in IndyCar. Kicking myself for not taking him +310 pre-race.

Treeeeemendous scalp on the exchange!!!!!

But yeah, if you see the Kalshi thread, I post a lot about the psychology of it.

We're all human, and no matter the ice in the veins, and actively trading stocks, futures, sports, whatever is a fukkin beast.

You have to be in control.

Good job.

Honestly got very lucky to likely make a little profit here. It was perfect timing. Palou’s price dropped precipitously after he ran long and took the lead.

He’s not only by far the best driver in the series but his team always seems to make the correct call on strategy.
