@Tanko @BigJay first to respond gets to call it, heads or tails. Important for the lottery style selection process for the showdown. draft order is snaking.

Whoever wins the coin toss gets to decide whether they want 1st pick, 4th, 5th, & 8th or 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th of the bet options I present, such selecting from the list of head 2 head driver matchups, etc

I will post options tomorrow. You will then draft your bet options and make your picks by friday at midnight--you'll both be under the gun to work together. Fail to make finish Friday night. You both lose. Most winners, wins. Tie breaker will be explained tomorrow too.

It will look like this as an example:

with my first pick, i draft the head to head match up option (James vs John ). From there, you will pick the winning driver and make all of your final picks in a single post

Pick 1: John
Pick 4. JJGOLD
Pick 5: ....

Hope this is not too confusing. It will be easier once I post all of the h2h options.

So without further ado, gents start your engines!!!
Tails

It's tails.

There will be a list of head to head match ups and a few other selections. You will then get to choose if you want first or second pick (draft will be snaking--see above for list of picks).

Thanks!

Looking forward to it. Hopefully I/we can get with @Tanko shortly after you post the selections and he and I can just go back and forth with our picks all at once. Maybe tomorrow sometime before lunch if it’s convenient for everyone.

After failing to cash one of my lottery tickets last week, I've not really looked things over to good yet. But when #s dropped earlier in week, I did peek at them. The one I really liked was Alex Bowman Top 10 +165. Wanted to parlay it with a NCAAB game, paying about 4-1. Went back yesterday to bet it and all they have now, is Driver odds and Top 3. :duh:

I've noticed the same with Bookmaker over time.

They'll give us odds on a lot of stuff (not H2Hs) earlier in the week and then take a lot down until qualifying. I've not looked a lot but I think Bookmaker waits for qualifying for H2Hs.

I’ll put together a few little parlays in the morning hoping to risk a little to get a profit. Will likely include all three races.

Just don’t see how you get around SVG or Zilisch winning Saturday, and both are less than even money.

Also SVG will be difficult to beat on Sunday as he always is on the road. So might not be the best weekend to hit any bombs.

Of course if you can get past SVG or Zilisch Saturday or Sunday there are some major prices out there.

Qualifying completely wiped out for trucks Friday in St. Pete for the noon ET Street Course race Saturday.

The starting lineup with be the reverse of what the qualifying order that would have run. Kind of screwy/confusing but it is what it is.

One thing I’ve found over the years betting these races is it’s best if you can to jump on something you like as quickly as you can because it can be totally random when odds get pulled for anything racing-wise book to book. There’s just no uniformity when and where the racing lines are posted like we see in many of the more mainstream sports.

The same thing has cost me $$ over the years not jumping on good opening odds. If it takes me a bit to get that book funded or to get some crypto, etc. But yes I’ve definitely been there and feel your pain. And the bet you wanted to make seems to always hit lol.
