While enjoying my after-lunch tea, I stumbled into a tweet, and then another...one thing led to the other. Suddenly, I'm reading:

"Taxpayers would be on the hook for $850 million in construction costs for a new Buffalo Bills stadium under a deal announced by New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday, which would make it the largest direct public subsidy for a National Football League stadium in history.".

If taking funds from taxpayers to build a stadium for a team owned by a billionaire family isn't classified as a scandal, then, what world do we live in?

Looking forward to reading your "spilled teas" from this and other times (Certainly, crazy s&*t has always happened under the sun)

Damn!

"In its announcement of Goodell's ruling, the league wrote: "Based on the Wells Report and the evidence presented at the hearing, Commissioner Goodell concluded in his decision that Brady was aware of, and took steps to support‎, the actions of other team employees to deflate game footballs below the levels called for by the NFL's Official Playing Rules. The commissioner found that Brady’s deliberate destruction of potentially relevant evidence went beyond a mere failure to cooperate in the investigation and supported a finding that he had sought to hide evidence of his own participation in the underlying scheme to alter the footballs."

Ufff! That's a good one @Enikk ! Organized crime at its finest!

Judge Landis's verdict:

Regardless of the verdict of juries, no player that throws a ball game, no player that entertains proposals or promises to throw a game, no player that sits in a conference with a bunch of crooked players and gamblers where the ways and means of throwing games are discussed, and does not promptly tell his club about it, will ever again play professional baseball.
