I'm another SBR refugee (I posted as "Ian" over there).

I'm still holding out hope that SBR points will be useful again. If there are no points in the future from SBR or BMR I wouldn't have a problem with that, it was a nice perk while it lasted, but it sucks to have value taken away with no warning.

SBR had the greatest model ever for a gambling forum. They spent all their advertising dollars giving perks direct to users. And I think that loyalty program actually worked way better than if they threw all those dollars at Google ads or whatever.

I really hope BMR ends up following a similar strategy.

I haver over 2k in points from being conservative and keeping plenty on their for contests, College FB contest, loaning, throwing around at poker, etc.

I still don't believe they would tank their entire site. It makes no sense. If they got rid of betpoints, it's the end of Pick 6, Fantasy Football, Contests, Poker, Trivia, Pro memberships. It would become a worthless wasteland.

I suspect they come back, prices are jacked up all that. Paying a few Milly for a site and running into the ground makes zero sense.

Ya I've been an SBR since the begging, never cashed out any points except I think a few drunk pizzas many years back, and saved up over 70k in points.

I have a few suggestions but I doubt anyone wants to hear them...plus Id want to know some very broad analytics of SBR (like visits on the SBR articles, visits to the forum, contests visits) as well as the future of this site before offering any opinions.

For instance, I said rake races were needed for SBR poker and I believe that. Sam9ball (or whoever was in charge) did try that but it didnt last. But I also said many times that the rollover requirements were way too small at something like 3x for poker points won in the daily tourneys. Posters could finish that rollover in 10-30 minutes depending how many were seated at the table. There was not enough time and rake invested to make the races successful.

Given the lack of transparency at SBR right now and the future of many posters' points in..... (maybe not jeopardy) but lets say LIMBO, I doubt you will be finding many to post up for a contest here as a way to bring people in.
