never had an issue JDS. Maybe I am lucky. sent many times and received some too.

My mother-in-law is "Old School" and used to always mail birthday cards to the kids with $20 or some other amount. We'd have about ~30% of them "lost in the mail" or show up opened without the money.

Birthday cards are always obvious with the shape/size/color. Mail carriers know. They know.

Grandma never learned.

OK Sunny sounds good. I know having a PP account has made things easier for me. Venmo should not be too taxing to sign up to. Keep us updated on your Venmo experience. GL.
