Bengals have had middle of the pack rosters since Burrow has been in the league. Great offensive weapons, but generally bad offensive lines and crappy defenses.

They have had historically bad defenses the last two seasons

They had a solid defense the year they made the Super Bowl. Not great, but solid

Offensive line is improving though

They should be the best team in the division this year, but we'll see

Superior offensive roster, but much worse defensive roster (until now). Their offense has been elite. And they've been the most relevant AFC North team in the last decade by default
