Pinnacle is licensed in Canada, isn't it?!
According to this page, Pinnacle recently received a license to operate in the province of Ontario. Let's suppose the player is based in Ontario. Is there really a law on the books there which requires this sort of intrusive interrogation+shutting off withdrawals and betting of any player who deposited with a credit card? It seems like it would difficult or impossible to run a successful book this way.

Here - UPDATE!

Alright so they came back to me, giving me the ability to withdraw all of my money. Great.

Now, if I want my account back to full functionality, I have to send in 3 months of bank statements, showing transactions, and they asked if I can send investments info.

Also, they are forcing me to put a limit onto my account, due to my "unemployment" situation. I messed up, and told them that I was unemployed in a rather random chat with a live agent I had, and they are now forcing me to put a limit onto my account, until the situation "changes" for my own benefit.

I didn't know, that if you tell a bookie that you're unemployed, they just shut off your access? Is this normal?

Anyways,

Alright, no problem. I will send them 3 months, of me making over six figures of a salary.

I will also tell them, that I got a new job.

I find this rather invasive, and intrusive, and not needed.

This is sad, because this is literally the only bookie that I trust, and they're treating me like this.

Anyways,

Let's see what happens guys.

Some licensors have odd ideas about this, and Ontario for example does list "Information required by the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and the regulations under it" as a requirement as well:

So yeah, no idea if this is the case here, but not being able to provide a source of funds can lead to a temporary problem at least.
