You can’t win the division in April, but you can sure lose it. I still haven’t figured out what early to midseason firings accomplish, especially after wins. Boston fired Cora after a win and the Florida Gators fired Napier after a win last fall. In those cases they just want you gone no matter whether you win or lose.
