I dont know Bond, can't really recall the T'Wolves going all in with KG there always thought it was a waste of talent.
I followed the NBA a little back then. That was just before the all in days. Cuban started all in. You cannot go all in with Minnesota. The expectation for Minnesota is bottom of the league. They are not anything like Portland. I remember the 1980s before Jordan and Portland had some record for most consecutive sellouts back then. The Blazers are a major franchise that goes way back.

Cleveland had Lebron so easy to go all in. Phoenix also has had strong attendance dating back to the 1970s when they were an elite organization and the Suns were all there was in Arizona and they turned out. That kind of thing has a lasting impact.

Minny is a BBALL hot spot

Look at the # of NBA lottery picks / top collegiate recruits coming out of Minny
I'm not sure about that. Low percentage of blacks in Minnesota. Only half the U of Minn roster is from the state which is remarkably high nonetheless.

More of an economic thing. Minnesota is not a basketball state. It cannot compete economically against other teams so over time will be below .500 without great management.

Minnesota is a great state for sports. I'll give them credit. But they are always up against it.
