They definitely weren’t grunge. Joplin is a good comparison. Sound is more southern bluesI remember this band back in the grunge era. Wasn’t familiar with this song at all. After listening to it, this song gives off a Janis Joplin sound and vibe IMO.

Good point, although a debatable topic. My top 3 Grunge bands were, Nirvana, STP, & Green Day. They were the epitome of Grunge unlike Blind Melon.I saw soundgarden live open for GnR in Houston on the Use Your Illusion tour at the very beginning of the Grunge boom.
Just because Blind Melon was popular in that era didn’t make them Grunge
