NYRA Bets taking 5% of balances/month as an inactive fee

If you don’t use NYRA Bets for six months, they start deducting 5% per month. Such a New York idea there.

Complete BS and meant only to rip off customers.

Change it to balances under $5 with no activity risk forfeiture fine.

But if there’s more than $5 in an inactive account - and owner doesn’t reply to an email asking them to claim it or be active - ship it to the state treasurer / unclaimed funds and be done.

People do die - forget or just play rarely. Blatant attempt at theft.

Someone un-regulated did this - or tried. Can’t remember who - possibly BetOnline, it was years ago as 5 Dimes joined the bandwagon and the complaining started if I remember right.

Maybe that’s what happened to all our BetIslands money - they put a stupid clause like this in their t&c - used the processor issues excuse long enough delay paying and knowing people would quit asking then confiscated all the money.

Emerald Downs opened in 1996 here in WA and the horses will be off and running early May.
