Wont that do again.

It was a Canadian check (or should I say 'cheque') they sent. The time frame excellent. Requested it Mon night, it was here by Thursday.

But my bank was treating it like it was radioactive waste. Took over 30 mins to get it figured out and deposit it. I was starting to think they were stalling on me and the FBI was gonna be appearing any second...

2 words for ya - mobile deposit

I could be wrong but I didnt think foreign checks can be deposited thru mobile

Also money orders can not be deposited thru mobile

Likely depends on the bank.

Chase for example says no “foreign” banks. But a bank in Western NY or Detroit is likely to frequently deal with Canadian checks.

Alot will depend on where you live for in person. Just checked TD Bank to confirm - for them it’s US only for US customers and CAD only for Canadians using mobile deposit.

Just tell them it’s from someone in Canada who bought something online from you online.

Last one of these I took was early 2020. My bank put a 4-week hold on it
