Apparently his wife posted on social media that Kane, her husband, has bet on his own team's games and tried to lose intentionally for gambling profit.

The post read: "How does the NHL let a compulsive gambling addict still play when he's obviously throwing games to win money? Hmm maybe someone needs to address this." Can someone ask [commissioner] Gary Bettman how they let a player gamble on his own games? Bet and win with bookies on his own games?"

For the record, Kane has a gambling history.
In 2019 a casino in Las Vegas sued him claiming he owed them $500,000 of debt from a playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights.

One thing is clear here.

Legalized Sports Betting has nothing to do with this as, if allegations are indeed true, he was already doing this BEFORE states started legalizing.

He has & would have found a way in Vegas or Offshore either way.

Legalized Sports Betting actually helps bring awareness to anything like this that may occur to help catch it.

I wonder what will be his ruling after the proper investigation. Maybe also a lifetime ban from playing?
