In bounce-back games this season, the New York Knicks have been a red hot play.

When coming off of an against-the-spread loss, the Knicks have covered 5 straight games. They have not dropped 2 consecutive games ATS since February. New York is coming off a 109-99 loss where they failed to cover against Miami on Tuesday. Tonight, they’re 3.5-point home favorites against the Sacramento Kings.

The Knicks have been a great bet recently, going 11-3-1 ATS in their last 14 overall games. New York beat the Kings 98-91 as 3-point underdogs in Sacramento two weeks ago, and are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 head-to-head games against the Kings.

:lmao:

I'd talk about how useless this info is, as presented, or even it's negative effect on a bettor, but why argue.

Everyone knows it's valuable information a bettor can use when the sportsbook itself tells you about it. Right????

:lmao:

This reminds me of SBR, when I used to post valuable info that was predictive, few would comment.

Then I'd post a bunch of market stats and trends that really won't get you anywhere in a predictive sense, and everyone would say "great info" and "thanks for sharing" etc.

I always laughed at that stark difference, but also, inside, cried a little at how sad that reality really is.

Well I’m sure Betonline might feel the streak/Trend might end tonight, and why they mention it, or just something to entice bettors, but it’s definitely not meaningless

Every team has a different group of athletes, who all react in their own way mentally & physically under specific circumstances, which forms patterns, and some more than others

His happens in all levels of sports including high school

This is actually might point here.

"Definitely not meaningless" then "which forms patterns"

There are data errors in reaching these conclusion base on the data as presented.

That's why I posted this...

I'd talk about how useless this info is, as presented, or even it's negative effect on a bettor,

The data error here is make the mistake of using ATS voer or not as the "toggle'

This assumes that covering the spread, or not, is some kind of independent variable.

But that's obviously wrong, because your talking about varying pointspreads each time.

The fact that a book is offering the info is to entice betting, not to propose some kind of edge.

lol

but it’s definitely not meaningless

In this context, it is as meaningful as sitting over a great fishing spot and then marking the bottom of the boat to make sure you get back to that fishing spot again.

That's something bettors should understand when talking about past ATS results and these types of "patterns."

Past ATS results aren't totally useless and without meaning, but the way presented and in this context, it's something the sportsbooks would not hesitate to point out, like BOL did here.

I like to use past ATS trends or ATS indicators I rather say on certain spots as a 2nd or 3rd tier reason to support betting that game, never the main reason. I’ve done that with some success, I remember doing this one time on the Dodgers a few years ago at SBR and you mocked me for it lol. The game won easily just like this one.
