76ers had over a 20 point lead vs. the Heat tonight.

Heat came back and it didn't even matter.

Back in the old days, if Larry Bird's Celtics, Magic's Lakers, or Erving's 76ers had a 20 point lead, they would win the game by 40.

Today's players are so bad, it's actually unbelievable.

How can teams be so bad as to be unable to hold a 20+ point lead?

It's so, so bad.

53-43 half under 215 looking good

FUUCKING JOKE LEAGUE
rockets gm
It's utterly awful, bro.

Just a bad, horrible product right now.

They got 7 footers shooting 3 pointers but afraid to play under the basket.

I'm absolutely convinced Wilt Chamberlain, in this league, would average 80 a game.

You can take the 5 best players in today's league and give me Magic's Lakers team and that Lakers team would win by 50.

Kareem would have a hundred in a half.

I was a Magic-era Lakers fan and have really been into the Spurs since the early 90s, but I love watching any kind of documentary that features the 1986 Celtics.

I was telling @keithrichard this in another thread.

Think it’s the best basketball played all time.

Like a ballet watching the way those guys moved the ball with Bird, Walton and McHale leading the way.

That team is featured well on the ESPN three-part Celtics-Lakers rivalry documentary as well as their four-part Bill Walton documentary.

It was so much better than today's game there isn't even a comparison to be made.

Who in today's league is going to guard Kareem in the paint? 🤣 😂 🤣

Steph Curry going to get shots off against Magic who was 6'9"?

Magic wouldn't back him into the basket every possession and treat him like he was a little kid? 🤣 😂 🤣

Then you got James Worthy, Michael Cooper. It would be a massacre.

Today's players are more athletic and better shooters... Even the 80's guys concede that.
Teams are deeper (international talent)
Wrong.

Players back then played with a longer 3 point line than they do in today's game.

Larry Bird's career field goal percentage is way higher than Curry's is.

Those Lakers teams were so good, they were only beaten by other all-time great teams.
