The estate of the other family on board, the Duttons, is suing the Biffle estate for wrongful deaths. Says it was Biffle’s responsibility to do maintenance on the plane.
It was the other adult male, Dennis Dutton, flying as well as his son Jack Dutton as the co-pilot. The son didn’t have the credentials to be a co-pilot on that plane. NTSB said a more experienced co-pilot might have prevented the crash.
The two lawsuits are for $15 million each.
