Like others have said, the more the merrier. Max out the bonuses and enjoy any promos. Otherwise, just line shop as usual.

I live in a state where it is legal and have money in FD and rarely use it, still use offshore. It's been weeks (and I place 15 bets a day) since I've found a better number on a game there (I check FD about 75% of the time, not every time mind you). Using rough math as a $200 game bettor, if I bet all of May's plays at FD instead of offshore, I estimate it would have cost me over $2,000 to do so.
I can't believe I'm saying this but FanDuel has been one of my favorite outs since they came to my state. 🤑

Just signed up at the latest state book to become available in my state....Betr. Seems to be all micro betting or mostly which I have no experience with.
Free $50 as a sign up bonus. Anyone have any experience here or recommendations on what to look to for value?
betr is the one Jake Paul's team has a major investment in. They are doing free play in any states where they aren't yet licensed. AFAIK it's all "microbetting" or coin flip props like "Next play run or pass" sort of coin flip stuff. Doubt there's much value there aside from advantage play any promotions they give you obv.

I think betr is geared toward Jake Paul type audience so mostly young zoomers. They want to be on college campuses etc. Don't think they will offer much for serious gamblers

My state NEVER will. BMR write up is pretty accurate as far as the perception. The real reason why sports betting will never be legal here has nothing to do with the church. It has everything to do with Wendover. Utahns have been cruising out there for decades to go to the Casinos, its 90 minute drive across I-80 west/east. Anybody who has been to any of the "resorts" of Wendover knows they do everything they can to get you HAMMERED, especially if you are a good tipper forget about it you won't ever have an empty. The amount of revenue the State generates each year from DUI arrests on that highway as well as other illegal stuff on that stretch of Highway is astronomical. Plus Nevada gets a nice boost from it as well.

Is Utah financially "well off" as state Baz?
I know a lot of states cave in to legalized gambling so they can tax it and raise revenue. I live in Texas and we are a pretty damn conservative/christian state but I'm betting we will get it legalized for the money (pun intended).

Each time they make a DUI arrest that is roughly 10k for the state, that's on a first conviction in a 10 year window. They are going to make more money off that than people betting. Most of the people that go out there go for the casino atmosphere, not cuz they are degens like me. They aren't going to play casino games from home. There are a lot of sports bettors out here but the state stands to make way more off the arrests and all that comes with it. AND lol at the 60% quote, was that guy watching the intro to SLC punk? is less than 50% easily.

Ok I finally was able to register at the latest sportsbook licensed in my state Fanatics. Tried a few months ago but would not accept my phone type for some reason. They said they had a few glitches still. They finally updated their site I guess.
Odds look pretty crappy for MLB with wide margins. NFL looks to be standard -110 so might be useful overall.
Sign up bonus is pretty decent. Make a minimum bet of at least 10dollars and receive 200 in bonus bets to be distributed as 10 separate $20 bonus bets. No matter how old I get I'm still like a kid in a candy store when it comes to any new book I join.

Which legal book is most comparable to offshore with betting options that you've experience?
Good question. I don't really think they are comparable to any quality offshore book. Odds usually suck on prop bets, 1st and 2nd halves.
Usually when I really want to bet something I really like they don't even offer it. Occasionally I will find the better number and odds on a bet there but this is rare. I guess FanDuel would be the most decent in comparison for me.

I agree and always hear the same thing

But I do hear good things about Fanduel promos & boosts on wagers
