I love the massive contracts where guys never play.

Twins scooped up two Yankee mistakes: Pavano & Humber (or Houghes??)

Those two made $200M turn of the century from NYY and never played.

That kid that LAA gave a boatload of money to about 5 years ago, think he hit like 15 homer's for them til 😆

DeGrom gotta be on this list, he's always on the DL. Granted he's still the best pitcher in baseball.

LAA guy was Anthony Rendon. He was my pick for highest overpaid player ever.

In 2020 they signed him for $245 million. He's played in 257 GAMES and has been off the roster since 2024. They will continue to pay him $38M for the next 4 years before he is off the books.

$245M/257 games = $953,000 per game

Strasburg made himself a quarter-billion $$ contract during that incredible World Series.

Pitched 31 innings the rest of his career due to injury.

8. The New York Mets and free agent outfielder Juan Soto had reached an agreement on a jaw-dropping 15-year, $765 million contract that would be the largest in professional sports history once signed.Sep 24, 2025

That kid had so much potential. He had a Hall of Fame arm but his body betrayed him. He still got a World Series ring though but man his career should have been so much more with his arm talent.
