Let’s take a look at Luka Doncic. The Slovenian superstar has gone viral on social media after a photo of him allegedly drinking beer circulated on Twitter. The Mavs had to deny that the photo of Doncic drinking a beer on a terrace was from before the game against the Warriors, explaining that it was an old photograph.

Recently Lil Wayne didn’t like how Doncic played in the first half of Game 4 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns, specifically how he exploited the referees to draw a foul on Chris Paul. Lil Wayne tweeted- “Luka a ho”. The rapper is a big Suns supporter and a good buddy of Paul, so his frustration is understandable here. Do you think this is a case of outwitting your opponent or was Luka out of line?

In either case, here are some Doncic Fun Facts:
  1. He was born on 28th February 1999 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
  2. His father, Sasa Doncic, was a Slovenian Premier A-League basketball player, and later a basketball coach.
  3. Greek basketball player Vassilis Spanoulis was one of his earliest basketball heroes. He also admired the play of LeBron James.
  4. In 2012, Doncic was loaned to the Real Madrid basketball team. He competed for the Spanish team in an under-14s competition.
  5. He made his professional debut for Real Madrid on 30th April 2015. At 16 years, 2 months, and 2 days old, he was Real Madrid’s youngest ever player
  6. In his first NBA season, Luka Doncic won the Rookie of the Year Award, and was voted onto the 2019 Rising Star Team.
  7. He can speak four languages – Slovenian, Serbian, English, and Spanish.
  8. Luka has several tattoos, including a tiger motif on his left forearm.
  9. In 2019, he signed an endorsement deal with Air Jordan.
