Manchester United hosts Liverpool today 3:00 ET (odds posted below).

Liverpool is 0-0-2 after games at Fulham and home against Crystal Palace. This juggernaut has struggled in their first two matches but, nothing to the extent of the issues the mighty Red Devils (Man U) are having.

Man U lost to Brighton at home to open the season and then lost to Brentford on the road 4-0 last week. Man U fans are "not happy" and the Glazier family (owners) are taking some heat as is the new coach (Benni McCarthy). They are last in the EPL at 0-0-2 -5 goal differtial. When's the last time they were last????? ---> August 1992.

The odds are long for Man U
Man U +380
Liverpool -147
Draw +331

Total Over 3.25 +101, Under 3.25 -117

The debate is, has Man U already given up, 2 games in? I don't think so but there is clearly turmoil for a group of "individuals" who cannot play like a team. Liverpool is clearly the favorite but I think Man U has to recover to some form of respectability. I'll be looking at the spreads for an edge.

Any leans? Got an edge?

I never used to watch soccer except for the occassional world cup event.

But, my grown son lives EPL and bundesliga. I think he can name every player on every team and so I started to watch and get interested. 90% of my soccer plays are filtered through him since he knows these teams/players so well.

I'm taking Man U 1H Goal line 0 +180 Bookmaker

If Man U shows up to play, they will show it in the first half early. If they fall behind, they are done for the day and I'll look at a 2nd half play on Liverpool.

Alright. Won the 1H Man U play.
Man U dominated the first 30 min of the half. LP came on strong in the last 15 min and 90% of the time they were in Man U third during those last 10-15 min.

Going opposite side now. Taking Liverpool goal line for the game +0.5 -102. They were coming on strong and I believe they will come back and tie it or win it. To play it safe, I'll take at least a tie.

I think Man U got so fired up for the game and won because of the violent protests outside the stadium before gametime. Fans were upset about the teasm 1st two game losses. They want the Glazers (US owners) out.

They won because they changed the game style, with more aggressive and fast players the game is totally different, also when United plays with strong and versatile CB it feels more secure and open to play pressing football. Also missing of Ronaldo was big plus for them. He is roadblock and pulls back the team performance.
