Tough loss. Some poster said NEVER TRUST THE CAVS NEVER
More like never trust James Harden.

I’m more upset at their coach. You’re up by 20 in the 4th quarter; why even have Harden out there. You don’t need offense, you need defense. It was clearly obvious NYK was attacking Harden any chance they got. Cavs coach just left him in there. Then he said, let’s double Brunson and leave guys wide open to shoot threes. Or you can sub out one of the all time worst defenders and just defend straight up. If they bring in Strus, Schroder or Tyson they win that game easily.

I missed the 2nd half as I fell asleep. But your assessment of the NYK attacking Harden on D is spot on. Mike Brown said so after the game. Like you wrote why was he even out there in that situation. So I don't blame Harden as much as I put the onus on Atkinson. Also why did he save timeouts for the end. NYK on a serious run and he refuses to use a TO. Unreal. Never trust the Cavs Never. Hahahaha

Mike knows him very well from when he was an assistant coach out here in the Bay Area with Golden State. The Warriors exploited Harden every time they played him because he's a liability on defense and everybody knows it except Kenny Atkinson who claims he's one of Cleveland's best defenders which is probably why he was still on the floor.

that really is a major screw up by Atkinson. He gets paid Big bucks to make favorable matchups for his team. NYK in 5.

I still see Cleveland holding serve at home where they're significantly better but I like New York to win the series. Just too many weapons for Cleveland and nobody can stop Brunson from either creating for himself or others. I like Knicks in 6 here but I tend to think series will go longer than they sometimes do.

Yeah valid point about Rocket arena. But I wonder if Clev will rebound from this disaster. That is flat out a melt down Precipitated by the head coach imo. see what Clev is made of next 2 games or so.

Yeah blame goes on Atkinson. Just seems like he’s playing Harden based on status and contract. But not subbing him out was hard to see, that would be like not subbing out Mitchell Robinson if they kept fouling him and he continuously missed FT’s.

I think that game was a gut punch, hard to imagine them recovering from that. Similar to if SA lost game 1. The line in game 2 and series price says Cavs won’t go away though. I will say, Cavs can make adjustments and make it a series. The question is, will their coach make adjustments. Such as less Harden.

I like OKC to bounce back today. My guess is if this gets a bit out of hand they will rest Wemby as he played big minutes on Monday. If this isn’t an OKC route that’s a bad sign for them.

Sunday 5/17: 1-0
Tuesday 5/19: 0-1
Playoffs: 18-19
Total: 151-139

OKC -7
