Damn, had an exit point and I fumbled the trade, got out of nothing.

I was going to sell and possibly re buy while we were still in the first half.

That was my thinking there.

The Trader tightened down. After yesterday, and all this talk about getting those bumps but not selling, the Trader took yesterdays verbal beatdown from the Lab to heart.

I will clear a unit today, that's what is important at the Trading Desk.

This makes for a good recovery day after misbehaving two days in a row this week by taking those early winners for granted and dipping in with heightened risk.

Considered picking up Kansas the other way AND Texas A&M, who is trailing by almost 20 to come back.

lol

That's what the Lab is saying.

Tex A&M was at .04 cents, I almost bought at .05, now it's at .10.

A reminder that those trades are available.

Well, for gettting out, I got out at the right time.

Only one little run has put the market above where I sold, and it's come back down.

I would be frustrated right now if I were still in this position, even if TCU still has a chance.

Hey Trader...read that last sentence again. Then, print it out, put it on your forehead and stare at a mirror for 2 hours.

That should get me to take profit more often.

KVB what’s your trading outfit??

Weather has been nice, office window open so I've been shirtless in either shorts or sweatpants.

lol

That's what the strolling around the home office is all about.

Two trades today. They were curated, and the Lab recognized some weakness as we watched today, despite the EV from the closer.

That weakness kept the Trader on his toes and kept him dialed into the rest of the market, and kept him searching for more than +1 units of profit before getting out.

Good work in the Lab as it was a +EV play (at least to the market) and later work gave the Trader some real guidance. Excellent work on the Trading Desk and shows my ability to identify pyschological trading issues and correct them mid week.

That's patience, that's discipline.

During the self imposed review, the Trader brought up a point of psychological order. I know it's late, but success happens when you are dedicated enough to burn the candles at both ends while refining your craft.

I opened those TCU positions pretty early today, the ml was for movement, the spread was a bullish +5.5 and +6. I also bought it in the sportsbooks at +6 and +5.5. Maybe some tailed, it was a pregame play.

Point here is that when I closed those positions, I sat here very tempted to buy back into the spread, to be on that bullish play. It's a form of FOMO to buy something at, say, .40 cents, sell it at, let's say .60 cents and then feel you are missing out if it goes higher or might close at 1.00.

And it's a dangerous form of FOMO.

Now, I had the sportsbook positions, I had the spread. It was a little easier to avoid buying more knowing that. But what if I hadn't had it in the books?

The desire to own a piece of that spread was big, I knew the numbers. I had EV, it was a sharp play. It also won. I wanted to chomp away.

We must remember trading is a different animal, getting green and getting out is of the utmost importance as capital preservation is the #1 goal. There is no reason to walk the path of FOMO as there will be other opportunities.

This type of FOMO leads to forcing. We know how that goes.

The Trader must stay selective, only strike again after closing a position when it's in the trading plan, listen to the Lab, but understand the Lab also serves the sportsbook accounts. This is not a sportsbook account, this is not sports betting.

This is Trading!!!

Big day again today

3 hr tip offs

Bitcoin 15 minute markets where are you???

I know where I’m not, on the BTC every 15 minute page of Kalshi.

I’m sure there’s a way to clean up on that, but I’m not dialed into it at all.

Market has been capped, ideas on the board, we are watching patiently.

No position in the first game, yet.

I am seeking some kind of Upset in the Big10

...I think Michigan will fail, but maybe not until later.

I have not shorted MIchigan nor did I fade them today.

But I do see them falling, to Ohio St? Maybe.

If it happens and I miss, well then it happens and I miss it.

The Trading Desk is in action today as Florida is likely going to beat the shit out of Kentucky and I have the Florida future....

I have picked up Kentucky +10.5 @ .41 cents

Dropped into range and hit a limit order.

Not too excited about this, lol, the Trader shouldn't have had the order in, but I ended up filling, so here we are.

Looking to scalp an end to 1st half push, hopefully it's Kentucky on the push

Ohio St with a 2 point lead inside 5 minutes.

I am not on them, hopefully Michigan pulls it out so we can get their failure later.

Would suck if they fail now.

Kentucky +10.5 @ .41 cents

Tried to get out .46 for a 12% scalp, but couldn't fill.

We are back to just above even with the market with Florida up 9 points at half.

Will formulate a plan during halftime.

Might even get out as low as .42 cents, lol.

Couldn'y stay in that position any longer but missed selling @ .48 and @.46 cents.

Fukking shit show, but not really the Trader's fault.

An insistence on using limit orders and not going to market cost me there.
