Varies for everyone.

DK was a max payout after bet limit of like 250k for some college basketball bettors.

Always check your book and individual situation.

I've seen some wild ranges of limits onshore.
BMR has an online calculator (one of many) for this.

Yeah, but I was thinking more of walking through the calcualtion, so posters can see what the caluclator is actually doing.

Which is what I posted above about betting the Total Payout.

In my gambling career I find myself struggling a bit in the NCAA tournament compared to the regular season and conference tournament. Although last year I was able to break that negative trend and did quite well to finish off the season.

This is a unique year, no? So many upsets throughout the Conference Championship games. So many low-rated teams got into the Big Dance. I think favorites will win more than their fair share in early rounds.

I'm thinking Colgate and Samford are only teams I would pick ATS in Rd1 that's a low seed. I'll root for Longwood, too, but it's all about whether they lose by 15 or 35 lol

Have you ever noticed books trying to bait you into taking a parlay?

Example:

Team 1: -1000
Team 2: -2000

But parlayed you would get -500.

Or limit would be 10000 to win 1000, 20000 to win 1000

But parlayed, you could risk enough to win 5000 (not 2000)

There is nothing wrong with parlays as long as you are not getting shorted on the odds.

They are a great way to reduce risk and increase rewards. There are advantages to parlays in money management as well.

Sure there are parlay cards, and "odds boosters" on short odd same game parlays, but truthfully the sportsbooks, through all the years, never really pushed or advertised the two pick parlay.

There's a reason for that beyond the correlated parlay factors.
