Is It Harder To Score In Hockey Or Soccer?

To follow up on the question....

A lot of my daily wagering is on Live games, so I see a lot

There are just too many soccer games that are very low-scoring or even scoreless, but then a team or teams erupt in the last couple of minutes of regulation or the extra minutes

*Teams down 2-0 the entire game, and then in the 88th minute, the losing team scores a goal and then another a minute later to tie the game

*Teams tied 0-0, then multiple goals scored late

Every scenario you can think of happens

Some ppl say it's because teams get desperate late & put forth more effort, which leads to more goals

Ok well why didn't they play like that earlier or the entire game?

And in all other sports, can't we say the same thing about teams losing late going all out, but not with the same results as in soccer??

Point being, most agree soccer is the hardest sport to score in

I'm not buying the late surge reasoning

I see it over and over daily - Too many shady & suspicious endings

The only thing that matters is the number you get.

Maybe there is value on taking the LIVE OVER at large dog odds there, thought I doubt the LIVE service is that generous.

In the end, only the number matters, not the result, suspicious or not.

Consider the prices when looking.

harder to score individually in hockey if u look at penalty stats the success rate on penalty kicks in soccer is very high hockey isn't as high, total goals of the match soccer lines are set usually at 2 2.5 3 and hockey scoring used to be 5.5 but now it's like 6.5 7 lots more goals in hockey if u look at stats in a match they will get usually less than 10 shots on target in soccer hockey the goalies are making 30 40 saves a night

I think most will agree that the succes in NFL 2minute offenses have more to do with the defenses going into soft coverage

We all have seen it many times how that prevent defense backfires

I wasn't making an argument, lol, as noted by my laughing guy. I was laughing at the saying "if it works they should do it all game"

I was laughing with you when you said they should just press all game, lol. I was agreeing with you on the weakness and short sightedness of the "argument".

I think what you are saying or asking is that the team already behind goes all-out offensively and then gives up an easy goal, kind of like in hockey when the losing team pulls their goalie and the leading team scores on an open net?

Actually that's not what usually happens

Somehow, someway, the team down 1-0 or 2-0 for 88 minutes, miraculously scores right before regulation ends or the extra time ends

I see this over & over & over again Live

So my point is, as hard as it is to score in soccer as most agree, I just don't see how it happens so much regardless of how 'desperate' a team gets

Definitely soccer. VAR is both a blessing and curse, just depends on what side of the game you are on. Either way it's created more tension in games and has made for a better product imo.

Good advice, and I am tempted Sooo many times

But I continue to think there's just no way these teams are going to score with a couple of minutes left when they haven't scored in almost 90 minutes

This is what I was thinking. If it really is happening often enough, then there should be value at some point in the LIVE trading. It will ebb and flow like just about every other LIVE trading option.

Listen to this one....

Last week I played a 3team Live parlay

First 2 Legs hit I only have the one left

A team was up 2-0 in the 85th minute. But for some reason the odds weren't as high on that team to win as it usually is.
So I'm thinking to myself what do they know that I don't?
But then decide hell this team isn't going to score 2 goals in these next few minutes when they haven't scored the entre game

I don't have to tell you what happened next....

Sure enough, the losing team scores 2 goals in like 2 minutes and before we even reach the 90 minute mark

So I figured this game is going to end in a tie and I've lost the parlay

Extra time added after 90 minute regulation was +5minutes

I check the score about 3 minutes in and to my surprise my team pulls off a goal to take the lead again!

I am then considering cashing out because of everything that has already happened

But the greed sets in and I tell myself no way that other team comes up with a miracle again with only 2-3 minutes left

But sure enough they did again and tied it up to end in a 3-3 tie and I lose the parlay

Soccer is supposed to be hard to score in right?

Seems like it is for 85+ minutes and then who knows what is going to happen SMH
