Missed opportunity.Allow me to tell my story.
Today at the gym, I approached this black woman I see there pretty often she’s got an amazing physique/booty and asked if she could give me some tips on doing squats correctly on the Smith machine. I’ve mostly avoided squats my whole life because of lower back issues, but I’m in a much better place now, lighter, stronger core, healthier overall, and I feel like my back can finally handle them.
She was cool about it, hopped on the machine, showed me her form, and gave me some solid pointers while I watched and followed along. We ended up training together for about 10 minutes. I got her name, but I didn’t push for her number this time. I’m just building a little rapport since I see her regularly anyway.
Worst case, I’ve got a knowledgeable, attractive gym buddy to talk training with. Best case, we’ll see how the conversations go next time I spot her. Feels like a low-pressure, natural way to start a connection.
“After I spot you on this squat why don’t you spot me your number?”
