I’m a Trump fan/voter, but he brings all this crap on himself, all this is about is the 15 boxes of presidential historical records that every president turns over when they leave office since 1978. The people that handle the historical records have been trying for well over a year to get him to return the 15 boxes. My guess is he wanted this to play out like this, definitely puts him in the spot light again looking like the victim, but he isn’t stupid so I really doubt anything classified is in the 15 boxes. If there is he will be banned from running for office again and he knew this.

The weird thing about this search was that it was executed by the FBI which is lead by Chris Wray (Director). Wray was a Trump appointee. I doubt he would follow an "illegal" order from Garland or Biden to execute a search warrant. Wray could easily spill his guts that Biden and Garland are on a witch hunt if that were the case.

No, they maintain possession and then turn them over to the National Archie's to be housed & maintained in their respective Presidential Library. Trump is still the defacto head and presumptive nominee of THE GOP, hence his Library is 7+ years away yet.

Unfortunately, it sounds like there wasn't any declassification completed for some of the documents found at Mara Lago. The FBI was at Mara Lago in June and collected 5 boxes of documents without a warrant. Trump & Co. handed them over readily. My guess is he had more but did not turn them over when had the chance in June so now he's being pursued by the DOJ.

The fact that they left with 12-15 more boxes this week after serving the warrant indicates he had more classified stuff. What else would they have confiscated????

If he did sign such a document, the FBI could never have obtained a warrant to search his place. There would be no basis. Clearly they had to have something to base the warrant on or it would not have been issued.

Also, Trump and/or aides would be able to produce the declassification documents and waive it in the FBI's face on Fox News if that were true.
