Haha ok, what happened is the bad guy steals the good guys daughter, because the bad guy doesn't want the good guys from entering a poker tournament.
The first good guy goes in there trying to use his fists to get the girl back, of course after beating up few bad guys it's useless cause they got guns - so the big bad guy offers to gamble with him says the bet is girl for your clothes, of course the first good guy accepts challenge but knowing the big bad gambling skills are better than his.
The big bad guy says the game they'll play is simple blackjack, if the first good guy can get a blackjack(ace/face card) he'll let the girl go and if not the first good guy losses his clothes - obviously the big bad guy is patronizing him by offering deal that can't be refused(betting worthless clothes against chance to get girl back) because as good as the first good guy skills are, both know that the big bad guy is better.
Nobody gets to take care first, it's game of speed and skill as well, because both have to go at same time to draw 2 cards.
After they both snatch cards, without turning the cards over the first good guy already knows her lost and why he lost - it's because the big bad guy switched out 2 aces by switching in the 2 joker cards from the brand new deck, then by snatching snatching the 2 remaining aces, made it impossible for the first good guy to get blackjack, so the first good guy accepts defeat and leaves his clothes behind acknowledging that the big bad guy knew how the first good guy would decide all along. Knowing what the other guy will do is obviously the most important poker skill to master.
Also, the big bad guy and the first good guy and the girls dad, all learned their gambling skills from the same master - the big bad guy betrayed them in the past and took over the masters empire.
Ok, so as the first good guy is leaving in only his underwear, the girls dad arrives.
The girls dad demands his daughter back, but the big bad guy says, "how can I give her back before the tournament is over, I don't want you to enter, and i won't just take your word that you won't enter. You're famous for being fastest and most skilled..."
The big bad guy continues jokingly and sarcastically, "...it's not like you've given me your world famous fastest hand to hold hostage..."
As soon as the big bad guy said it, the girls dad shouts, "I knew you would say that - DEAL."
So, before the big bad guy can take back what was said, the girls dad chops his right hand off while yelling, "please give my daughter back, you have my world famous fastest hand now."
Anyways Enikk, this is not even the middle of the movie, but we see how important being able to actually predict the outcome - is the most important part of gambling, the reason the first good guy lost is because he was steered into a contest he could not win, but the girls dad got his daughter back because he steered the big bad guy into believing that the current situation where keeping the girl made no difference.
