Two updates from me.

1. Last night there was a big high school awards ceremony, my son is graduating. We went because he was a special award. We are proud of him.

Then we were surprised as a special award was given to my wife and I as we were called up to the stage. It was like a Most Outstanding Parent award for the year.

It was actually quite an honor, and a big surprise. They read some blurbs about all the stuff we've done for the school and the things I've done for the district as well.

Some of you may remember I became the treasurer of an education foundation a couple of years ago and with help we've grown it quite a bit, especially as it was all but dead coming out of COVID. And you know I volunteer a lot with the school.

And...

2. Retained a $600/hr attorney and am first issuing a demand letter then if needed a civil suit for over $70k. There was fraud there with jail enhancements due to the amounts so I can even go the criminal route and turn it over to the Attorney general for prosecution. We are pursuing civil for now.

It's a bet, placing a large retainer and a decent legal bill on the line to get that money, that is ours. Looking for about a 15-1 return here on that bet.

They would be fools to take it to court. Shit, a judge might just rule pre trial for us.

So I've been a little busy, hence the lack of plays, the last couple of weeks.

Time to get back to that grind.

Yeah it was very nice glass piece with our names on it.

It was kind of emotional, I've spent a good part of 4 years helping out at that high school on many levels. We built up quite a foundation too.

Many students thought my wife and I worked there, we were there so often.

This demand letter from the attorney is brutal, he listed 18 potential causes of action and that was just the start.

They will cave.

Yeah, the awards were something kind of special, I have to admit.

No mention of this legal issue yet online until today. We were part of a limited partnership and the general partner wanted to sell a property and reinvest in another business, overseas. He offered a buyout of our share of the proceeds if we didn't want the business in Germany.

We took the buyout, signed the paperwork, then got no money.

They fukked up, they have no leg to stand on.

The real question is, do they still have the money?

Because they certainly owe it.
