I get what she's saying but my marriage we are much more a team.

Hard to describe but if she has unfilled desires, she can use me or my money to get them filled.

And vice versa.

We are an old school couple and due to the community awards we've recently received, I have a few, she has a big one with me, we are even called a power couple by others.

We are a team and my wife is aging like a fine wine so I can't ask for anything more.

Married in 2003 and our pastor that married us required us to go through some sessions of counseling with him first.

There have never been tough years in terms of our marriage. Never has there been even the mere thought of the D word, which we don't consider a solution.

The tough times we navigate together. Early on we beat the odds of the "D" word. We had an early tragedy but we traversed it together. I might talk more about that another time.

First Deacon wife & I went to was an old fart at my family’s church who refused to marry us because we were already “living in sin”. F#CK that guy! Went above his head, and got the Monsignor…..
