There's honestly no excuse for it. Between the rideshare apps and even calling a friend there's no reason anymore to drive intoxicated

that’s how it was in the old days. They have pretty relaxed rules wherever she was, still being able to refuse all the tests.

In most counties in texas they would have gotten a warrant for the blood draw. As high as her BAC likely was she might have gotten elevated charges

Cabs are much better. Most Uber drivers are nutjobs anyway.

It's more formal employment and could actually have a more thorough vetting process.

Companies hiring employees will conduct a broader check than the contract hires who may not even check fingerprints.

The driving companies have further work to do still for background checking, the cab co's have already been doing thorough checks.
