Actually just bought a couple of 5 packs of those school pizzas at the butcher shop last week.

They are good - big enough that if I need something for a lunch I can do one, or if I want a snack I’ll just cut it in half and toss in the toaster oven.

Oddly - our school never had these. Wife made me aware of them. School I went to was 2 blocks away from a pizza shop and the cafeteria just contracted with them to bring in several trays once a week on Wednesdays.

Ohio valley/Pittsburgh style pizza - square cut trays and the pepperoni tossed on after it had been baked. I’ve never done it with anything but extra cheese lately - the idea of uncooked toppings is stuoid to me.

👍🍕

I went to a Catholic school from 1st to 8th grade - there were only like 25-30 kids in each grade. There was no public lunch program, so if you didn’t bring your own, we got whatever the church volunteers and moms of students made. Our special “Pizza Day” was old English muffins with some cheap sauce, cheap cheese, and pepperoni (sometimes) that they baked in the church hall - and we LOVED it. Extra treat was that hard as $#!T ice milk thing you ate with a wooden spoon…..
