dude the market here is ridiculous. a house in the ftl area once bought for 150k could go for around 650 right now. even renting a place is so expensive. most of the time, they are small places too. places in west florida tend to be cheaper

Sold my house 3 years ago for a little over 300k and was on market over a year. Needed a northern snowbird to buy it like me when I bought it as no one could afford it down there really at the time. Recently just sold for over 800k. Disgusting

in my dads neighborhood, the same thing is happening. people from up north and even the west coast are coming over and buying winter homes in florida. heck, my neighbor is the same. he lives up in NY and comes down once every other month for a week
