Texas has the head to head against Alabama so they would be in and I personally think FSU should get in over Alabama but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t because they’re undefeated. Alabama definitely has better wins but I don’t think FSU should be punished for missing their QB.
It's going to come down to strength of schedule should FSU win. Bama has the better wins so I think they get in over an unbeaten FSU. Like I said somebody is going to get screwed because Bama pulled off one of the most impressive wins of the season so how do you leave them out?

I agree with this

Some people think SEC is in no matter what; I don't think so personally, though I get that view

Committee has made it clear that Alabama is not passing Texas

If Florida State wins, they deserve to be in. "Best 4" teams is subjective

You leave them out because there is not enough room for them - if Florida State wins

They dug themselves a hole by losing by double-digits at home

They're better than Florida State, but that doesn't make them more deserving if Florida State is 13-0

FSU's SOS is 63. Somehow I think the committee might hold that against them. Do I think its fair? No I don't but that's the reality of the situation thanks to Bama creating a scenario where they force the committee to let them in. Whether they do or not will be interesting but if they do the answer why comes back to Bama having more impressive wins.

you are right.

they need to win 59-0 like ohio state did over wisky in 2014, then they have a chance.

that score got juiced because wisky players heard during the game that their HC is leaving for another program (gary anderson left wisky for oregon state)
Why?

They aren't comparing two 12-1 P5 conference champs. Ohio State also had a third string QB that year.

Florida State would be 13-0 P5 conference champ

Alabama would be 12-1 P5 conference champ with a double-digit home loss

The only reason there is even a discussion about this is the fact that it's the SEC

Yeah But Bama beat 2 time defending champ and #1 seed going in.

I agree it'd feel weird to leave the SEC out

But this was a competitive year with a lot of deserving teams, and the SEC isn't as dominant as it once was
We'll see what happens but as it stands right now I think Michigan with a win, Texas, Washington and Bama get in. FSU left out in the cold because their best win is a win over LSU in the very first game of the season.

Committee hasn't historically cared about stuff like that

They won't discredit that win because of it being early

That means they should not count Texas' win over Alabama

Yes but they do care about strength of schedule. Bama with a win over Georgia owns a win better than anything on FSU's schedule. It's not fair but it is what it is given FSU's SOS.
