It's just a regular season game, another game in the rotation, true, and capping shouldn't be much different, but know that, at least publicly, players pretend to care. If that means they elevate their play during these otherwise regular season games, then that means they should be a little more predictable.

Better teams with better play are generally more predictable.

There will still be variance, but less so and not as extreme, as well. And we should see more success.

Technically.

Reality is that's it's the NBA, and just another game in the rotation, so treat it as such. Variance can already be so high, lol, that it's still a bitch.

They are offering all players on the winning team $500,000 so I assume they are gonna put effort to win. So what happens on one of the last few games of the IPT where one teams really wants to win either to get 1st seed, get into the playoffs, or whatever reason vs a team that’s already out?

When those scenarios pop up, they probably shouldn't be ignored.

It could present early betting opportunities or it could pump the spread too far one way or another.

Let's jump off that bridge when we get to it.

It doesn't affect anything for me as far as betting goes because it's just another regular season game to me and I approach it like that. As far as the concept goes I think it's actually working because the players like anything that involves a little extra money and so far the games have been pretty good as far as any November NBA game can be.

Great post but would love to see your stats degree be put to use in this response.
