"John Calipari to Evan Washburn of CBS after Kentucky's loss to Oakland: "We had some guys that didn't play the way they've been playing all year."

-> Looks like he's blaming the players now.
I didn't view his comments as if he was blaming the players because he's actually right the players didn't play well. Reed Sheppard played like a deer in headlights after he was touted the National Freshman of the year. DJ Wagner didn't score and Rob Dillingham had an off night. The freshman on the team were the driving force behind their success this season but last night they collectively had a bad game.

I didn't watch the game, so I stand corrected.

If they cannot fire him and if he does not resign, are we going to see the same result next season?

Oakland never looked overwhelmed or overmatched against Kentucky. Oakland took it to Kentucky. Just like Texas A&M took it to them last week. Their defense is lacking more than anything.

Unfortunately the answer to this question is probably yes. He refuses to change anything about his approach so this crop of freshman will most likely move on and the next batch will come in do well for a few games in the regular season and lose in the tournament to a more experienced older team.
