Well that's your opinion

But it's a terrible one lol

Curry over kobe is absurd

Kobe the closest thing we've ever seen to Jordan
Kobe is stylistically more like Jordan but nowhere near as good .

Kobe was a great player and I loved his attitude but for a lot of his career he was an inefficient volume scorer

He’s not a top 10 player ever. Curry might be

Yeah.....In a league that plays zero defense

Wouldn't happen many years ago

Yes he'd still be successful but not even close to this extent
That’s not how that works lol
Players got better at three point shooting over time (which was expected to happen), the game changed, players got harder to defend, more spacing

Steve Kerr played with MJ and he repeatedly said how much better the league is now talent wise. It’s really close

Guys like Bill Lambeer wouldn’t be able to be on a court today. Slow white guys who can’t shoot? Yeah right

Well those of us who know you, also know your stance on things like this, and the reasons behind it

But It's only your opinion

Every player from back then regularly mocks the league today and how soft they are and how there is no defense

It takes thousands of years, or longer, for things, and ppl, to evolve

The belief that athletes suddenly got bigger, stronger, and faster in 30 years in laughable and for those who live under a rock to believe

Yes there's more ways for ppl to stay fit & healthier, and more ppl in general

But people, nor athletes, have changed that much.....the game has

I know a lot more about basketball than any other sport tbh -- played it, watched it, understand analytics. I know a lot about the history of the game, I'm quite nerdy about. I consider myself a student of the game.

Not a slight against Kobe, but that statement is true.
Ok, if everything you say is true, then we are on even ground here

It's just opinions in the end

Unfortunately nothing can ever be proven unless things like that happen in heaven

The game has evolved, as it always has. It will continue to.

Steve Kerr is a pretty smart guy, played with MJ.....he says the talent in the league is much better now. So no, he doesn't mock it.

Athletes are bigger, stronger, faster....that is something you can measure and objectively figure out. It may not be as extreme as some people say, but it is undeniably true.

I don't think that means humans suddenly became physically way more gifted, but yes exercise science, diet, emphasis on fitness has evolved and that has contributed to it. That's why you see guys like LeBron looking sharp in Year 20.....never saw that a few decades ago really

You know who you sound like with that stromy?

Shari at SBR the night and day after his death the things she was saying

Had the entire board on her over that lol
His death was extremely sad. I definitely didn't talk about him like that after he died. He was an iconic player, had a great brand that was easy to like as well.

But as far as these all-time great discussions are concerned, yeah I believe his legacy has been inflated the last couple years because of it.

It is what it is. That's not Kobe's fault. Ultimately these are just subjective arguments

Kobe is the type of guy is about the same as Duncan in terms of legacy. Great player, a little outside of the top 10, but definitely top 20
