Here's the timeline

March 6th: Joined and deposited $1k for a $750 welcome bonus

March 9th: Get an account message saying my account must be verified. Do the live selfie thing, it says it needs secondary review, 24-48 hours

March 11th: They email me saying the requested information is now verified, I request a payout

March 12: Get an email saying my account is disabled and they want pictures of my ID, selfies of me holding it and a utility bill, send everything

March 14th: Get an email saying your account is currently under review, no details will be provided until the investigation is complete, so don't ask

Emailed them multiple times since then and it's the same copy paste answer. Current balance was $11,204. I can provide screenshots if helpful

It's likely because you broke the rule hidden in fine print. You are not allowed to wager more than $500 per wager on that bonus. Given that your balance is over $11,000, I'm guessing you were betting a lot more than $500 per wager. You'll be in limbo for at least 3 weeks.

Yah, it's at the very least extremely shady to implement such an absurd rule, and then confiscate legitimate winnings when players don't realize they're breaking a rule to begin with. The first winning streak I've been on in half a year gets confiscated because I wasn't betting less than $500 with a $1750 bankroll 🤣 you can't make this shit up

Just to add to this a little bit, the rule is you cannot bet more than 50% of the bonus amount, so in this case it would of been $375, regardless, as has been said, the system should not allow you to bet more than what breaks a rule but we know, unfortunately, that's now how un-regulated operates.

Bovada also uses this rule at their leisure. In cases where the end user is just throwing money at normie bets, not touching soft markets, not hammering live and especially if you aren't up a lot, they won't invoke this. It's used almost always when they feel the user is trying to hit them on soft markets, using advantage play tools.

Bovada is still one of the most profitable books around when cultivated. It's a book that actually benefits from seasoning it or mixing degen with EV, etc. When people come off firing, the red flags will go up.

Sorry this happened, it's bs regardless but it's best if everyone know how to tread on each book we still use.

That’s incorrect, the bonus amount rule only applies to casino for sports book. It’s 50% of your deposit. He will not get his winnings confiscated unless he’s a part of a syndicate which I doubt. They want to make sure that he’s not a part of a syndicate. I was once told by a friend who used to work in Bovada they will always give a stern warning before confiscating winnings entirely. If it’s a first time offense, the chance of him getting paid in full is 75%. He will be waiting for a bit though.

You're right! It is 50% of the Deposit vs. Bonus. It's rule #12 in their Bonus Terms. 50% of deposit for Sports' Wagers and 20% for Casino.

Most people have just gotten the warning, get limited to peanuts and have to wait a few weeks, so I hope this is the case here. That's of course if there's no sign of same device, same household, etc. Bovada is not nearly as tough as other books with Geo-Location (Yet).

Meanwhile I got offered that 100% up to 10k and was shitting bricks even when following all the rules when I cashed out $40,000. Not even putting that on payout timeframes.

lol, I don't blame you one bit!

It's sad it's come to this but even when I'm on the most legitimate books we can think of (un-regulated) and get a big win, I then start to think what could go wrong. A win is only a win now when that end result hits our bank.

Some would then ask why do we still do it? Reward still greater than the risk and if you can afford to lose it and maintain life as normal the next day, it's just another day at the office until either one of those environmental factors change.

I remember back in the good old bovada days 2018-2021 when Bovada was offering crazy bonuses to fund an entire gambling bankroll. Paid for my college

It’s actually 50% of the deposit amount.

I’m not nitpicking on you Titan, but this illustrates the importance of reading and understanding the rules when one accepts a bonus offer. Obviously ridgew did not due his due diligence. Lesson learned.

It’s on you to understand the terms and conditions of a bonus before choosing to accept it.

Welcome to un-regulated sports gambling.

The shady part is not making it crystal clear. Otherwise, I don't blame them for a limit to how much each wager contributes to roll. The more plays they get you to make the lower the variance for them in "recouping" the bonus thru the vig. But hiding it feels like many others that pull crap like that as well.

Hopefully you get paid and can get them for more before getting limited. They don't waste time on that part of things if you show you are even somewhat competent.
