BMR Email Notification...

Huh, I know @KVB mentioned this a few weeks ago. I just received an email notification from my watched thread a few minutes ago. Looks like it's fixed? TBH, I am not sure the last time I received an email notification.

I know when you watch a thread it gives the email notification option.

I many have mentioned that but I was more mentioning the alert notification when someone @BMR Genie tags you like that.

I saw was alerted to the one you did in this thread's origianl post.

They don't always come through. I know @JDS did one that never showed in my alerts and I think @209life did as well.

But nearly all alerts do come through, I think. Just a couple of failures.

If you are getting emails you don't want from a thread just go to that thread's first page and "unwatch" it.

Then you can "watch" it again and are given the choice to get email notifications.

Yeah.... The email notifications had stopped many many months ago (if not more than a year).
I was surprised to see a bunch show up suddenly in the last hour.

I sent KVB a PM not @ not trying drop location to a bunch of ppl.

Can you check your account settings? Just make sure all notification options are unchecked if you do not wish to receive any email notifications.

Smart move coach, this is ridiculous just deleted about 50 emails and they are still coming. I’m sure I will get another one for this post.

I think you will need to unwatch each of those threads.

You can watch it again without email notifications.

I don't think the preferences and privacy options @BMR Genie is suggesting will work for this.

I think you have to do it individually for each thread.

Issue is that in the past just engaging a thread meant you were watching it, now I think you have to actually click watch to watch new threads.

I've never watched a thread, but all kinds of threads from long ago are coming the email.

But after you unwatch, you can click watch again and just pick the option with no email notifications. Then you will just get the bell alert if there is a new post.

That seems to be working.
