Rough business and internets just made it harder.

I remember working for a guy 20 or so years ago selling refis - I was broke and had massive debt, needed a 2nd job nights and weekends.

Guy liked I had sales experience and told me $8 an hour cash guarantee- $5 a lead, $100 on conversion. Said good deal - I’ll start tonight. Show up and it’s a small desk and a phone in his little office in his basement, ask for the prospect sheet - throws the Akron Ohio white pages at me and says start with the M’s.

End of a week I had maybe 65 leads and 30 hours in calling. Said where’s my cash - said I’ll get you next Friday. Said I’ll be back when I see the $$ - I’m still waiting. Dumbass had zero understanding of the golden goose he just killed. If one of those converted - he would be making 2500-6500.

Bi-product of being an ungrateful piece of shit born with all the tools, countless oppourtunities and fukked every single one of them up cuz I didnlt want to get it like that, wanted to come up like a G, like when I was a kid, took me 4 decades to realize that is actually not a thing. I had every excuse in the book, I just am a late bloomer honestly. Very late.

Got a good shot now Gold, with a good company too, that is key. Def not f*** this one up. Nationwide company too, I can work ANYWHERE I want within 6 months. Might move to Reno just to keep an eye on you sweetie.....

Bro, what is the breakdown of your pay? It is obviously performance based, 8$ on top of your bonuses/commissions right?? What are the metrics past the 8 an hour, you might be working way too hard on 90% of your calls.....
