Because of the false teachings that paradise is heaven and al good people go there, many things in the Bible are misunderstood.
Jesus did not tell the thief he would go to heaven. He told him that when he came into his kingdom the thief would be resurrected. This resurrection will take place when, by means of that kingdom the earth will be restored to a paradise.
Psalm 115:16 - As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah, But the earth he has given to the sons of men.
Matthew 5:5 - Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Isaiah 26:19 - “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.

Illini, this is all you need to know

John 9:25

So, for the second time, [the Pharisees] summoned the man who had been blind and said:

"Speak the truth before God. We know this fellow is a sinner."

"Whether or not he is a sinner, I do not know," the man replied.

"All I know is this: once I was blind and now I can see."

John was a non factor in the bible and he is misunderstood . Mathew and Isiah are really the only two teachings one needs to go into Heaven.

Wherever paradise is the man on the cross would be there that day with Jesus. According to Mathew 23:43.

Mathew 23:43
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Wow Landers. You have a very sick and twisted view of the Bible. Your interpretation is very “Lutheran” based. They are very biased and looked down on by many. Get with the times Landers.
