ARK - Pittman news conference

I wanted to watch Pittman's press conf b4 the Missouri game. They can't become bowl-eligible so the game could be viewed as a Dead Rubber. My observations:

1) Pittman was honest. He knows that losing games leads to the prospect of being Un-employed.
2) He talked about looking forward to the opportunity of playing versus a rival (Missouri).
3) He was very complimentary of a good Missouri team.

IMHO, he checked all the boxes. I didn't get the sense that the Hogs will be mailing in this game.

He later talked about the series of close losses they've had. Talked about how the injuries contributed to the disappointing season.

One of the reporters talked about "not showing up" in games. Pittman didn't like the question and said "That's a little rough." I'm sure the reporter was referencing the blow out loss to Auburn.

Pittman knows he might get fired. Lee Corso used to call these JS games, Job Savers.

Anyway, I saw enough to think ARK will be motivated to play this game. If the players like Pittman, they should put forth a good effort in this game.

FYI: Ark AD said that Pittman was going to be retained. Pittman knows he's on thin-ice and needs to do something next year. Could help preparation for this game, as the players shouldn't be tuning Pittman out.
