Don't really want to win it is human psychology 101. Never feel more alive in that moment that you might win or get your ass kicked. Goes for gambling, sex, and life in general.

I don't bet enough to make winning exciting I bet just the right amount to make it fun whether I win or lose. Gambling is supposed to be fun and if it isn't then you should stop or cut back on how much you bet imo.
